What life in Goulburn looks like.
Goulburn is a regional city rather than a Sydney suburb, and for plenty of people that is precisely the appeal: a slower pace, shorter distances across town and a community where people tend to know each other. Our home here has on-site support like every AllCare home.
Auburn Street is the main shopping strip, with Goulburn Marketplace nearby for supermarkets and larger stores. Goulburn Base Hospital is about a kilometre from the centre of town, so regular and specialist appointments do not automatically mean travelling to Sydney. Belmore Park and Victoria Park give open green space right in the middle of town.
Goulburn station is on the Main Southern Line, with NSW TrainLink services toward Sydney and Canberra. These are scheduled regional trains rather than turn-up-and-go suburban services, so trips out of town are planned in advance, and local buses cover the city itself.

How do trips to Sydney or Canberra work?
Goulburn station is on the Main Southern Line with NSW TrainLink Xplorer and XPT services in both directions. They are booked, scheduled services rather than suburban trains, so outings are planned ahead, which many of the people we support actually prefer.
What health services are available locally?
Goulburn Base Hospital is about a kilometre from the town centre, and everyday GP and allied health services are in town. Living regionally here does not mean giving up access to care.
