What life in Western Sydney looks like.
Our Western Sydney home is in Jordan Springs, one of the Penrith area's newer master-planned communities. Because the suburb was built recently, the streets are wide and the footpaths are consistent, which makes getting around on foot or by wheelchair more predictable than in older areas.
The Jordan Springs village centre covers everyday shopping, Westfield Penrith is a short drive for bigger trips, and Nepean Hospital at Kingswood is the main hospital for the area. Jordan Springs Lake and its surrounding parkland give walking paths and open space close to home. Travel is bus-based, with routes 673 and 783 connecting toward Penrith.
If Western Sydney is home for your family, staying close matters. One home means limited rooms, so if nothing is open when you enquire, register your interest and we will contact you first when a room opens, or help you look at our South West Sydney homes, which are closer than many people assume.

SIL in Western Sydney: common questions.
What is it like living in Jordan Springs?
Quiet, new and well laid out. The suburb was master-planned, so footpaths, crossings and open space were designed in from the start, with a lake and parkland close to the home and a village centre for everyday shopping.
Is the area suitable for wheelchair users?
The suburb itself is one of the more predictable in Sydney for wheels because the footpaths are new and consistent. Whether the home suits a specific person still comes down to their needs, so tell us what access you require and we will give you a straight answer.
How do trips outside the suburb work?
Jordan Springs has no station, so travel means bus routes 673 or 783 toward Penrith, or a support worker driving where that is part of the plan. Penrith station is roughly seven minutes by car.
