Our St George home is in Bexley, in an established, quiet residential setting between Rockdale and Hurstville. Most of what you need day to day is a short trip rather than a long journey, which matters more than any brochure feature once you actually live somewhere.
Bexley has no station of its own but three are close: Bexley North on the T8 Airport and South Line, and Rockdale and Kogarah on the T4 Illawarra Line. Frequent buses run along Forest Road and Bexley Road toward Hurstville and Rockdale. St George Hospital at Kogarah is about 2.5 kilometres away, and Westfield Hurstville is roughly ten minutes for a bigger shop.
Brighton-Le-Sands and the Botany Bay foreshore are a short drive for a walk by the water. For families rooted in the St George area, this home means staying close to the people, shops and doctors you already know rather than starting over on the other side of Sydney.
