The honest picture on Prestons
Prestons is a quiet residential pocket in the Liverpool area of south west Sydney. There is no railway station in the suburb, and the nearest ones are not realistically walkable: Casula, Glenfield, Edmondson Park and Macquarie Fields are each a short drive. Bus routes 855, 856, 857 and 869 serve the area and connect to Liverpool.
We say that up front because it shapes how a week is planned. If building independent travel skills is part of your plan, in Prestons that means buses rather than trains, and we will talk through exactly what that looks like before anyone commits.
Day to day within reach
The local shopping village covers daily needs with a supermarket, chemist, bakery and takeaway. Casula Mall, Carnes Hill Marketplace and Westfield Liverpool are all a short drive for a bigger shop. Liverpool Hospital, one of the largest in south west Sydney, is close by, and easy motorway access keeps the rest of Sydney reachable.
Inside the home
Our Prestons SIL home has modern open-plan living on a family-friendly street, with tailored on-site support. It suits people who want a calm home base, steady routines and support workers who become familiar faces rather than a rotating roster.
Next steps
If SIL is in your plan, ask about a vacancy. If you are not sure what your plan covers, New to the NDIS? explains the basics in plain English, and our team can take it from there.
Frequently asked questions
How do housemates get to programs and appointments?
A mix of support worker driving, the local bus routes and family lifts, planned person by person. We map the week out together before move-in so nothing is left vague.
Is there a vacancy at Prestons?
Call 1300 219 811 or send a vacancy enquiry. If Prestons is full we will say so, and nearby Carnes Hill, Hinchinbrook or Edmondson Park may suit.
Can we see the home before deciding?
Always. Visits are unhurried, you can bring anyone you like, and meeting the current housemates is part of it.
